The Jade Mirror of Numinous Treasure (Lingbao Yujian) was a Daoist text whose teachings were popular in ancient China during the Southern Song Dynasty. The following are translations and commentaries on the first 10 chapters of this unique mystical text. This fascinating book contains many of the magical invocations and secret talismans used by ancient Lingbao ritual masters to summon celestial generals, command wandering ghosts, and control disruptive spirits.
Also included in these early teachings are special star-stepping instructions, activation incantations to empower the rituals, and the various types of altar banners used as important tools for exorcism and meditation.
